About Me

Probably best known as a Bodhrán player, Martin has won All-Scotland, All-Britain and All-Ireland titles on Bodhrán and is widely recognised as one of todays leading exponents of the instrument.

He majored in Drum Kit at Strathclyde University, where he graduated in 2002 with an honours degree in Music , and since then has gone on to work with some of the biggest names in the Scottish music scene.

A few of the artists/groups Martin has played with include the Michael McGoldrick Band, Flook , John Doyle, Neil Yates, Julie Fowlis , Deaf Shepherd , Dochas and Brolum .

A seasoned recording musician, Martin has appeared on over 20 albums including recent releases from Aly Bain & Phil Cunningham, Dochas, Julie Fowlis, Claire Mann & Aaron Jones, Emily Smith, Angus Lyon & Ruaridh Campbell, Brolum and James Ross.
