Welcome to the MySpace page for the University of Houston -- Clear Lake Film & History Club!The purpose and objective of The Film & History Club shall be to enhance the enjoyment of viewing film and increasing understanding of how film works, to promote an understanding of film in a historical context, to explore the language of film, to explore how film incorporates the tensions in society, and to develop an awareness of viewing film as art and as a primary source of social history. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ We show 6 or 7 films throughout the fall and spring semesters. After each film has concluded, a question and answer forum with a distinguished guest speaker directs the post-film sessions.Pictures will be taken at each event and posted under the blog entries and photo sections. The Prestige
