We Support Houstonians Who Work Behind the Scenes in the Filmmaking, Fashion, & Entertainment Industries: including producers and directors (of different genres), photographers & cinematographers, lighting and sound techs, makeup & hair artistry, choreographers, fashion designers and stylists, set designers, graphic designers, as well as assistants in each field.

It is the goal of the H.A.E.P. to create a community among Houston’s multi-talented entertainment professionals. The organization encourages support for our city, a passion for the industry, and legitimacy and unity among our professionals, as well as the projects and events they take part in. Our ultimate purpose for this organization is to create a network of credible, accountable, and organized industry professionals who desire to work with persons possessing the same measure of integrity, talent, and passion; which in turn, will grant Houston, Texas the notoriety in which it deserves.

ASTRODOME PRODUCTION STUDIOS

There is a proposal to convert the Astrodome into a fully functional, cost effective, and economy boosting, large-scale Film Production Studio. With the support of everyone in and around Houston , we hope this concept will gain the opportunity to be reviewed and eventually approved by, The Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation and the Commissioners Court. Following a pre-approval of the concept by the HCSCC, the plan facilities will be privately funded, and developed and operated by the most qualified team possible. We also wish to maintain the original aspects of the Astrodome, as it has been approved as a Historical Landmark. H.A.E.P. wants Houstonians to get involved by logging on to houstonaep.org , reading all the available information, and signing our on-line petition in a show of support for this concept. We hope this petition will prove that Houstonians, both individuals and corporations want to see the positive changes that a large-scale film production studio will bring to Houston’s production industry and local economy.
