About Me

Cougar's Marque Entertainment (CME) is an independent film/video production company based in Houston, TX, owned and operated by writer/driector/producer Kevin Sorrell. With four short films and two music videos to our credit, CME's goal is to help establish Houston as the southern mecca of filmmaking.
We can also be found at www.cougars-marque.com . Drop us a line or leave us a comment. If you like what you see, you can even MAKE A DONATION through the button below. Any amount will do. We're not picky. We're independent - and proud of it.
Stop by The Blog Spot, where you can read the candid thoughts and optinions of CME prexy Kevin Sorrell, on issues from politics and sports, to social issues and film reviews.
Check out the video for Alias "J", winner of the 2006 Mix-Down/Picture Up! Song and Video Competition. The contest was a joint project between sKinny beatz and Cougar's Marque Entertainment. The track is called "Keep Livin'" - produced by Houston's own sKinny sKoop. The video was shot and edited by yours truly.
Also check out "YOU AWWWREADY KNOW", a music video for Houston's own Joe Kane, directed by Alex Woodfolk of Four Nations United Films. I worked as Assistant Director (the shots at the lake and outside the front of the house are mine.)
This is footage that I shot for the documentary Poet-Trees and Grass-Roots: The unSpoken Word in Poetry back in 2006. For those wondering, my camera was not tied into the sound board.
AND WHILE YOU'RE AT IT...
This is an excerpt from A GIRL LIKE ME , a documentary by a young lady named Kiri Davis. It provides a chilling look at perceptions of beauty among young Black girls in America. I guarantee you, what you see and hear will shock/amaze/sadden you. (Click screen option ..2 on the right to play the movie. The pic shows a little girl holding a doll.)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Fellow filmmakers, writers, actors, producers, and just plain ol' folks who are into movies. And even if you don't fit any of the above criteria and still want to be our friend, it's cool. We don't discriminate.
