Influences: -Soul-Hip-Hop- Jazz- Reggae- Blues- Spoken Word-These are my primary influences, although generaly speaking I love all music.
The people I look up to, (mostly considered to be old school ) like Al Green, Millie Jackson, Stevie Wounder, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cook, and Otis Redding, to name a few. Although I have many Influences my main influence is me, these are just a small number of greats that inspire me.In modern music I would say for style, originality and ability, Cee lo Green, nas, Raphael Saddiq, Lauryn Hill, Fantasia, John Legend, Kanye West, Timbaland, Bilal, Carl Thomas, India Arie, Missy Eliot, Jamie Fox, and Musiq Soul child just to name a few.I am glad to be in the revolution of music that is growing rapidly and changing music as we know it ( music that brings emotion) not just a catchy tune.
