Bernardo Fesch was born in 1976, oPorto, Portugal.
2000/2008 - Works regularly as a private teacher in Holland and Portugal on the following subjects: Bass Guitar, Music Theory and Improvisation.
2007- Joins "Faith Gospel Choir", based in Lyngby, Denmark.
2007- Completes "Master's Degree Programme" at Codarts (former Rotterdam's Conservatorium).
2007 - Records “Mexer EPâ€, produced by famous Dutch DJ Gregor Salto and Tzvetin Todorov.
Released by G-REX records.
2007- Performs with Sasha Bach band at the prestigious "Mosaic Music Festival" in Singapore. The band returns later in the year for another row of performances, one of them at "Singfest" together with Cindy Lauper, Pet Shop Boys, Gym Class Heores, Sugar Ray, Shaggy amongst others.
2007- Records 2nd EP with Sasha Bach Band, produced by Bulgarian Producer Tzvetin Todorov. Released in Singapore.
2007- Attends master classes by Gary Willis, Richard Bona, Kai Eckhardt and Alejandro Herrera.
2007- Performs, together with Richard Bona, at the Rotterdam’s Conservatory.
2006- Records D.R. Sax's 3rd studio album "10 Anos Depois"
2006- Starts session work, as bassist, for Dutch label G-REX records.
2006- Records jazz/fusion trio album "Jerôme Hol with Bernardo Fesch and Benoit Martiny" featuring Dutch tenor saxophone player Emiel van der Heide.
2006- Records and co-produces Omaya's debut album "Novo".
The single “Novo†is featured in Café del Mar’s “25th Anniversary†CD.
2005- Completes Jazz/Fusion Bachelor programme of the Rotterdam Conservatory and enrolls in Master's Degree Jazz/Fusion Programme of the same institution.
2005- Attends worshops by Mike Stern and Bennie Maupin.
2005- Joins american/danish rock act Sasha Bach Band. Fisrt EP "So Easily" recorded in March.
Several performances in Copenhagen and London, including the legendary “12 Bar Clubâ€.
2005- Composes music for modern dance performance "Lufte" by Danish choreographer Arina Joensen. Performances in Copenhagen (Kannonhallen during the “Junge Hunde Festivalâ€), Ã…rhus (Entré Scenen) and GrenÃ¥ (Kulturhuset Pavillionen).
2004- Participation at the Erasmus Jazz Prize (Rotterdam, Holland) with Jerôme Hol, Benoit Martiny and Emiel van der Heide.
2004- Featured, together with Jerôme Hol and Joost Kroon, in Rotterdam's Conservatorium promotional CD.
2004- One year exchange programme at the Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium (Copenhagen, Denmark) where he studied with Klaus Hovman, Fredrik Lundin, Billy Cross and guest teacher Steve Swallow.
2003- Performs with Mike Manieri (Steps Ahead) at the Rotterdam's Conservatorium.
2003- Joins dutch blues band "Vinnie's Viceâ€. Several shows during 2002 and 2003.
2002- Wins Sena Guitar Awards playing with Jêrome Hol and Benoit Martiny, followed by an EP recording at the legendary Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum, Holland.
2002- Participation at the Erasmus Jazz Prize (Rotterdam, Holland) with danish singer Maya Overbye.
2001- Enrolls at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Holland) in the jazz/fusion programme (bass guitar) with main teachers Pieter Douma, Eric Calmes, Wim Essed (double Bass), Eric Vloeimans (improvisation and ensemble) and Kris Goessens (theory, solfége and composition).
2000- Completes composition and music theory courses at the Conservatório de Música do Porto.
1999- Starts playing with Portuguese soul/rock diva Diana Basto. National tour follows, plus live TV shows performances (RTP1 , SIC, TVI).
1999- Performs with American trumpeter Cecil Bridgewater at the o’Porto Jazz Festival, celebrating Duke Ellington’s 100th anniversary.
1999- Becomes resident DJ at club “31†in o´Porto, spinning 60’s jazz and 70’s funk.
1998- Forms jazz/funk quintet "Positive" with trumpet extraordinaire Raul Marquez, Brendan Hemswoth (vibes), Manoel Santiesteban (drums) and Francisco Reis (tenor/alto sax). Several shows with special guests Rui Reininho, Paulo Gonzo, Olavo Bilac amongst others.
1998- Records D.R. Sax's 2nd CD "Homem Objecto". The band toured the whole year culminating at EXPO 98 in LIsbon, playing for an audience of more than 10.000 people.
1997- Enrolls at the Conservatório de Música do Porto and studies Double Bass with Jean Marc Fauchet, Music Theory with LuÃs Lopes and Composition and Analysis with Fernando Lapa.
1996- Joins acclaimed Portuguese funk/disco band D.R. Sax.
1995- Enrolls at Escola Profissional de Música do Porto where he studied Double Bass with Altino Carvalho and Music Theory with Nuno Rocha.
1994- First steps in bass guitar/music education at Escola de Jazz do Porto with Alberto Jorge Piedade.
1993- Starts playing bass guitar. Joins a Pink Floyd cover band with acclaimed Portuguese guitar player António Mão-de-Ferro.
