About Me

I've been playing with instruments since the age of 3. Both of my parents are professional classical trumpetplayers, so the logical thing for me to do is pick up a trumpet. Since then I've played the french horn aswell, before switching to bassguitar. When I got into the Rotterdam Conservatory to study jazz/fusion bassguitar with Pieter Douma, I immediately got myself double bass as a side subject. Currently I'm playing all kinds of music. Jazz, fusion, worldmusic and funk have my main focus but I also play rock and I absolutely have grown a big place in my heart for Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae.Bands and people that I've either played with in the past and play with now: Mdungu, Mr.Who, Rotterdam Ska Jazz Foundation, Kingston Kitchen 809, lots of projects, and Tapharheejl.
Had/played with; Sean Bergin, Anton Goudsmit, Benjamin Herman, Club Sinas as a guest.
