About Me
EmSolid was born on June 6, 1982 in Chicago, IL and started his interest in music at the age of 14. EmSolid started off with a dream of being the next big Rap artist, but soon saw another unique talent he had as a Music Producer. As an artist, it was very difficult for him to find a studio to display his skill, so he decided to find a way to do it on his own by learning the music business, music software, and computer technology. By having this skill at the age of 18, he was ready for progress. He started his first independent label, Apostal Records, with very few artist and connection to the music industry. So EmSolid and his artist DestrucShawn thought the best way to get plugged into the industry was to start small, and become street promoters for other artist in the Chicago area.
EmSolid at the age of 20 learned what he needed to know, and started his new and most successful label, Dominant Records which had many artists. EmSolid was VIP at events such as [2004 Hip Hop Summit with Russell Simmons, Shawnna, Layzie Bone, Kanye West, Common and many more], [Chicago's Finest Concert feat. Arrogant, Bump J, Spree Isreal and more], [The Fam album release party that invited Twista, Crucial Conflict and more], and the [Wicked TV one year anniversary party feat. PsychoDrama, Disco and more].
