Her mother was a singer/actress in india. Nasim came to america from india with her family when she was 5 years old. She started to write music when she was 14 years old. She went from being a singer to rapping and now Nasim has a unique rap-singing style, she is almost in her own genre of music. Some say she reminds them of the old school with a mix of new school. Nasim's music is about herself, her essence, her life, and what is around her.
