About Me

Glamour girl meets humanitarian? Sex Kitten indulging in Flashdance and Fame fantasies? Starlette behind the typewriter? Perhaps the fact that I was born smack on the cusp between Scorpio and Sag is the reason that I am a mass of contradictions. At one point, I hid my brain under my "sweet, charming" exterior. Occasionally the odd person still dubs me "Elle Woods" but usually I am known as "the sexy drill sergent" who whips women into shape and thrusts them onto the path of self empowerment. When I am not working with women in Vancouver's DTES (www.beautynight.org), I teach dance classes. Encouraging women to work out and feel great about themselves is the reason I get up in the morning. I teach pole dancing and lap dancing. I also train new instructors for www.aradiafitness.com in Vancouver. When I am not living in sweats, I love to doll up. Currently co-hosting JuiceBox Radio on Wednesday nights at 10pm pst. www.citr.com for the podcast. Previous writing credits include Urban Trendz ("On the Town" weekly column), Vancouver Elite Magazine and Vancouver Visitor's Guide. No matter what I do, I believe life is either a daring adventure or it is nothing so live it to the fullest! I have found that it is a great way to enhance the beauty in everything that I choose to do.Whether I am trying make a difference in my own community or teaching dance classes or choreographing something. Life is rich and full of edges. I'm lucky to have amazing friends who support and entertain me. Hopefully I entertain them too! :)mspmb allowScriptAccess="never" enableJSURL="false" enableHREF="false" saveEmbedTags="true" src="http://lads.myspace.com/slides/photoslider.swf?u=154933 6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="445" height="230"

Aerial Dancing

Stephanie warned me that the first time I tried aerial dance I would wear myself out.  She was right.  Try as I might, I could not get my feet to coordinate with the rest of my body as I tri...

Sweetness of Water

Thankfully there were no leaches.  My fear of fresh water sprung from childhood.  The precocious eight year old I once was would lie awake with pictures of leaches crawling through my mind. ...

Harry Potter

I spend last night cocooned in my blankets.  Clutching my copy of the latest Harry Potter book, I ignored the ringing telephone.  In great gready swallows, my eyes devoured the book. The boo...

Letting Go

I love walking to work at 4:45am.  Inhaling the crisp, morning air I stroll down the street.  This morning I wandered along Broadway and Granville on my way to the studio.  There was a...

Good byes

To me saying good bye is a difficult thing.  I like clean breaks.  This way I can experience the pain immediately and recover faster.  This is my theory.  This method does not seem...
