Aunque de origen Canario, Jah Ras Sound System es fundado en Euskadi por su selector y operador Jah Ras, en los comienzos de 2.002.Se trata de Sound de claro corte Foundation, es decir, Clásicos de Roots jamaicanos y,además,contemporáneos UK.Creando con ello en sus sesiones una atmósfera cargada de mensaje estrictamente Conscious, todo ello con una gran influencia de potentes sounds como Aba Shanti o Mighty Zulu Jah Shaka.Esto le caracteriza como uno de los pocos sounds estatales dedicado casi exclusivamente a los sonidos Roots y Dub menos inspeccionados , aderezados con los grandes clásicos de todos los tiempos.Cuenta además con un Set propio el cual incluye delays,echos,reverbs,sirenas,etc.,y la particularidad heredada de la Old School de actuar utilizando un solo plato desde casi sus orÃgenes,haciendo que prime la selección ,el mensaje,el sonido y el feeling por encima de cualquier tipo de técnica.Después años de trayectoria, y con numerosas actuaciones incluso a nivel internacional ( cabe destacar su paso por la carpa Roots Yard en el XIII Rototom convirtiendose asà en el primer sound estatal en actuar en el multitudinario evento ,Big Up Dread Lion Hi Fi!!!! ), Jah Ras Sound System-Uprising Roots Warrior ha compartido cartel con artistas de la talla de Roberto Sánchez-Lone Ark,Turbulence,Queen Ifrica,Chukki Starr,Bomb Bass Hi Fi, Basque Dub Foundation, Jah Marnyah,Heartical Sound,Chalice Sound,Jah Ray Taffary,Brinsley Forde ( Original Aswad),Kenny Knotts,etc...En el 2.004,Jah Ras Sound System toma Tenerife-Canarias como base de operaciones,donde además funda Uprising Records Outernational, tienda especializada en musica Reggae en su afán por difundir la música jamaicana ,mensaje y cultura.Despues de todo este tiempo, Jah Ras Sound System está preparado para hacer sonar su material cultural a pleno rendimiento.-----------------------------English Version------------------------------------Originating in the Canary Islands, Jah Ras Sound System was funded in the Basque Country by its selector and operator Jah Ras in early 2002. The Sound is Foundation influenced, Jamaican Roots Classics and UK Sounds, loaded with a strictly Conscious message influenced by the powerfull sounds of Aba Shanti or Mighty Zulu Jah Shaka. Jah Ras Sound System is one of the few Spanish sound systems dedicated exclusively to the most obscure Roots and Dub sounds seasoned with great all-time classics. The Set includes delays, echoes, reverbs, sirens, etc., as well as the Old School tradition of using one turntable, giving selection, message, sound and feeling greater importance than technical ability. After some time and numerous national and international gigs (especially the performance at the Roots Yard Tent in the 13th Rototom, thus becoming the first Spanish sound system to perform in this big event, Big Up Dread Lion Hi Fi!!!!), Jah Ras Sound System has shared stage with artists such as Roberto Sánchez-Lone Ark, Turbulence, Queen Ifrica, Chukki Starr, Bomb Bass Hi Fi, Basque Dub Foundation, Jah Marnyah, Heartical Sound, Chalice Sound, Jah Ray Taffary, Brinsley Forde (Aswad),Kenny Knots, etc... In 2004, Jah Ras Sound System relocates in Tenerife, Canary Islands, funding Uprising Records Outernational, record shop that specialises in Reggae music and in the spread of Jamaican music, message and culture. After all this time, Jah Ras Sound System is ready to spread its cultural power full blast!Dentro de un proceso de evolución , desde mitad de 2.007 estamos dedicados intensivamente a los trabajos de construcción de cajas acústicas para nuestro sound. Respetando y siendo fieles con la tradición y cultura del sound system, se ha optado por la caja clásica con altavoz de 18" para la frecuencia de graves; que luego se complementará con las respectivas cajas para medios y agudos, configurando un sound , en principio en torno a los 5 o 6 Kw de tres vÃas.Esperemos que pronto vean la luz.-----------------------------------------------Resulting
from our evolution process, since mid 2007 we are exclusively dedicated to building acoustic boxes for our sound, remaining loyal to the sound system cultural tradition by using 18’’ speakers for the low frequencies complemented with boxes for the mid and high frequencies that form a three way sound system of around 5 to 6 Kw.
