RATT PRODUCTION founded by Charles Nelson former keyboard player with 80`s lovers rock band NATURAL TOUCH who under the guidance of legendary producer Neville King, enjoyed success in the most respected charts of that time BLACK ECHOES, and managed to achieve the prestigious position of N01 with their biggest hit GIMMIE GIMMIE LOVING, a position held for 5 weeks which lead to a live performance on London’s CAPITAL RADIO. Also appearing on the same billing as Barrington Levy/Winston Reedy/Maxi Priest/ and other top acts of the day. After this period I then moved into production producing artist such acts as Tony Hearne, with a cover of Gregory Abbots, SHAKE YOU DOWN, which got to No 15 in said charts. Still learning my new craft went on to work at JET STAR PHONOGRAPHICS for a period of 5 years meeting and learning from many people from within the industry. After leaving Jet Star, I then started work as a session musician, working first with the late Desmond Dekker/ Laurel Aiken/ also Gregory Isaacs/ Alton Ellis and many more, presently working as a session musician with B.D.F. Backing artists such as Earl 16/Anthony Johnson/Kenny Knotts/ and many more. Also still working as a producer, current released production the album I AM WHAT I AM by Glenroy Oakley marketed by jet star records.
