Born in Cardiff, Wales. Studied at the University in Lund (Sweden) and Grenoble (France). Moved to the US in 1972.

In August 1981 Gerald Douglas Oxby and his boat, The Antares, disappeared from Key West, Florida. He is the Father of 2 sons in Denmark and has relatives in the United Kingdom and Canada.

According to his then-girlfriend, Kim Goodwin, she informed the local police, and then hired private detectives who had no luck in finding Gerald or the boat. Dentals and fingerprints are not available, though familial DNA might be. His sons would like to find him.
