Troy Wells

I am a native Texan, a product of a musical family. By the age of 10 I was playing double bass at POPS NITE with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra. Then ventured to playing bluegrass festivals and learning to play banjo, mandolin and dobro. At the time there were a lot of really great pickers my age that were and still are amazing artist. Such as Billy Joe Foster, brothers Scott and Curtis Vestal, Craig and Terry Fletcher, Greg and Brad Davis, Tammy Rogers and Sharon Gilchrist. After extensive touring for 23 yrs. and recently moving to Austin, Tx. I have worked and recorded with acts like The Dixie Chicks, Janie Frickie, Wanda Jackson, Blondie Chapman from The Rolling Stones,Bill &Bonnie Hearne, Johnny Lee, Leona Williams, Tish Hinojosa, Rusty Wier, Helen Cornellius, The Jim Bakker TV Show house band, Norma Jean, Margo Smith, Daron Norwood, Jeanie Sealy, Kitty Wells,Jean Sheppard, Rodney Dillard of the Andy Griffith Show, Mark David Manders, Arron Watson, Tracie Lynn, Don Caldwell, Johnny Rodrigez, Dave Kirby, Jan Howard, Lloyd Maines, Toni Price, Pauline Reese, Larry Joe Taylor, Tom Brumley, Country Tonight House Band. And I am currently working on my new CD,and working in Key West Fl.
