About Me

In the short time since their first gig in November 2007, which was only months after their sheer chance formation, The Solomons have played at some of Melbourne’s most well known venues, including Revolver, the Ding Dong Lounge, The Tote, The Espy’s Basement and Gershwin Rooms, Ruby’s Lounge, and The Evelyn. They’ve received radio play on SYN and RRR, and have appeared on the Channel 31 and SYN program 1700.

Just like their name, The Solomons’ music has numerous origins, some even accidental. Their influences range from the Stones to Oasis, Pink Floyd to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bob Dylan to Polly Jean, and The Beatles to late night Salsa bands, one of which is now minus a trumpet player.
