Dutrabros (Daniel Dutra: selecta, producer, sound engineer, speaker -Bietto: selecta & speaker). Dal nome si capisce che siamo due fratelli quindi non esiste una vera data d'inizio se non quella della nascita fisica. Abbiamo voluto usare il nostro cognome (Dutra) per ribadire le nostre radici brasiliane. La passione per la musica reggae nasce con i primi movimenti romani degli anni novanta, grazie a RadioOnda Rossa e ai centri sociali che diffusero per primi queste vibrazioni. Così iniziammo a scoprire le produzioni che arrivavano dalla Jamaica, i ritmi dal basso potente con l'unione di una melodia unica. Le nostre dance hall sono caratterizzate dalla forte presenza di mc’s in pieno stile jamaicano. ''Gira il disco e vai!'' uno dei nostri motti. Nel tempo numerosi mc’s si sono esibiti con questo sound: Wufer, LuCiosa, Andy Janahdan, Indo, Julia, Numaz, Marcos, Queen Bee, Shiny D, Ntoniciallu, Laryssa, Kento, Madness, Santo... e altri oltre ai turntablist Dj Jack, Dj Fuzz-10, Dj Khat.
Parallelamente Daniel Dutra è anche fondatore, beatmaker e sound engineer della formazione hip hop romana JunglaBeat; da settembre 2007 si occupa della produzione di "Troppo Avanti", trasmissione hip hop reggae soul funk, condotta dal Piotta, in onda dal lunedì al venerdì, dalle ore 14:35 alle 15:30, su Radio Città Futura 97.7FM - sulle radio collegate in tutta Italia - in streaming su www.radiocittafutura.it

Our sound system's name may let you notice that we are brothers, so we don't actually know when we first grazed a vinyl disc...there is no specific starting date but our birthdays. We wanted to use our last name to stress the importance of our Brazilian roots. We first felt in love with reggae music in the 1990s, when we started following the early reggae movement in Rome: thanks to Radio Onda Rossa and several social centres these vibrations started spreading, and we began discovering the Jamaican productions, the strong bass guitar rythms creating unique melodies. Mc's at every dance halls we play: this is our must in typical Jamaican style. Over the years, various mc's have been playing with our sound system: Wufer, LuCiosa, Andy Janahdan, Indo, Julia, Numaz, Marcos, Queen B, Shiny D, Ntoniciallu, Laryssa, Kento, Madness, Santo... and many more. Our favourite turntablists? Dj Jack, Dj Fuzz-10, Dj Khat.
