My Interests

TV, cinema, theatre, live music, creative writing, reading, hanging out with my kids and my friends.

I'd like to meet:

Writers, intelligent funny people, handsome devils. Roger McGough, Nicholas Evans, Albert Camus, the real Zippy, Creative types & Musos, the person who invented chocolate, Krug, Fate, anyone who wants to buy me shoes. And God.

Music:

Rock, Indie, punk, pop, big guitar sounds, classical. I can even cope with warbly birds in Viking headgear if I'm in the mood: anything except the really angry or utterly depressing.

Movies:

Comedy, romance, old BnW, weird & some sci-fi. Nothing too violent or frightening (over-active imagination me!) Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula good - closest to Bram Stoker original. Chocolat - as sweet as the book, even if they did faff with the ending! Also The Others, Practical Magic, Spinal Tap, Lake House, Notting Hill, Brief Encounter, Harvey and (I make no apologies) Drop Dead Fred.

Television:

Black Books, Father Ted, The Good Life, SATC, Anything with Rick & Ade, progs about weird sciencey things, irreverant quiz shows, documentaries and anything to do with finding out real history of houses/buildings.

Books:

I tend to go for authors (not literally) and read everything. I like John Fante, Charles Bukowski, Nicholas Evans. Tho not read much of these guys, Richard Brautigan and Jim Dodge too. I like poetry; Roger McGough, Larkin and lots of others too numerous to mention.

Heroes:

Not the ones with the underpants. I admire anyone who can keep their head when all about are losing theirs.
