I'm a gamer, I'm into games such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon, Phantasy Star, Super Smash Bros., Golden Sun, Prince of Persia, Mario Kart, F-Zero, Perfect Dark etc. I suppose I have a warped sense of humour. I've been diagnosed with a form of autism called Asperger syndrome so I guess my social skills aren't very good and I'm kind of obsessed with certain things. Here is a description of the aforementioned neurological difference, it's really interesting.
Asperger syndrome is a form of autism, characterized by deficiencies in social and communication skills. It is characterized by limited interests or preoccupation with a subject to the exclusion of other activities; repetitive behaviors or rituals; peculiarities in speech and language; socially and emotionally inappropriate behavior and interpersonal interaction; problems with nonverbal communication; and clumsy and uncoordinated motor movements. People with AS lack the natural ability to see the subtexts of social interaction, and may lack the ability to communicate their own emotional state, resulting in well-meaning remarks that may offend, or finding it hard to know what is "acceptable". The unwritten rules of social behavior that mystify so many with AS have been termed the "hidden curriculum". People with AS must learn these social skills intellectually rather than intuitively. It's important to remember that the person with AS perceives the world very differently. Therefore, many behaviors that seem odd or unusual are due to those neurological differences and not the result of intentional rudeness or bad behavior, and most certainly not the result of "improper parenting".
