I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Hello! My name is Stephanie and I am a single mother of an Autistic Child. I hope that information I put on this page spreads the awareness of Autism and helps other families by providing support and information about available resources in their community. I think that by increasing autism awareness hopefully will increase the availability of early intervention services and treatments to all families regardless of income, through fund raising efforts and community involvement. Please help spread the word by adding the Autism Ribbon to your page. At the rate of 1 out of every 150 births there is Autism. More than half of the 150 are boys. 3 Children are diagnosed with Autism every hour. Many Children are not diagnosed with Autism until the ages of 2 or 3. Since I live in the GTA; most of the information is based on GTA resources but there are links to American sites as well. For other regions of Ontario please visit www.autismontario.com Since everyone with Autism is completely different, some things in my blogs may be right for some and not for others. I just wanted to put all information that I find out in the open because even if I don’t agree with a certain type of treatment for my son, I would not want to ignore posting valuable information of a treatment that might help another. The information that I post in my blogs are from several different web sites. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ADDING THIS PAGE AND SHOWING YOUR SUPPORT!
