CINDY CURTIS & COMPANYCindy Curtis has been singing in her native South Florida since the 1970’s.In 1974 she performed with renowned Jazz musician Dave Bruebeck as part of the Washington University Vocal Ensemble in his original cantanta at the Kiel Opera House in St. LouisShe performs with her trio at South Florida clubs and festivals. They recently played at Arturo Sandoval's Jazz Club in Miami Beach, Florida. Other performance sites have included the Riverwalk Sunday Jazz Brunch, the Norton Museum’s Jazz on the Lawn, Delray Art and Jazz on the Avenue, City of Weston’s Jazz Series, Main Street Live-Miami Lakes, Deerfield Beach Festival of the Arts, and Downtown at the Gardens Thursday Night Jazz Series in West Palm Beach. Cindy was very proud to be asked to perform in Miami recently at a Jazz Tribute and Benefit Concert Celebrating the Musicians of New Orleans.“We put a contemporary twist to jazz standards, “Ms. Curtis says. She has written original lyrics to the melodies of many jazz standards including: Blue Bossa, Footprints, and High-Fly.Her music has wide ranging appeal. I recorded these tunes at a wonderful little restaraunt/coffee house that we played at for years called DR. DESSERTS,,, this recording was with two guitars.. and we just played music that night and let it go wherever it did....take a listen...it was a wonderful night of jazz and java!!!
