Jay (best-man-o-the west,) you say it better than I ever do..so...here is Jay's review:Abbe Woods' strong vocal power is what struck me when I first heard her in NYC in 1998 with "Day of Colors" at the Lion's Den. A huge range and even bigger soulful heart showed up that night and it has followed me around since. For the sake of background here is some information: Abbe has performed in South Florida, Boston and New York City. In NYC from 1994 to 1998 her band, "Day of Colors" played in NYC with a large fan base. In 1998 Abbe headed to Boston; creating the band "Karma Days" -performing her own music and creating a buzz. By 2000 Abbe moved back to South Florida and was featured at the C-ROC Studios concert "Women In Music" as well as performing a jazz night with the opening act for Jackie Mason at Donald Trump's West Palm Beach Estate, Mar-a-Lago. She has also played in the South Florida Riverwalk Blues Festivals, Sunday Riverwalk Jazz Brunch festivals, and has had her renditions of blues songs featured on FM 89.9 The Sunday Morning Blues Show with Dar. A prolific singer/songwriter, Abbe uses guitar and piano to craft her songs. From what I've heard lately, this will be a great leap into cyberspace and radio airwaves for 2009.
