Within two years of operation it has hosted the Blues, and attracted hundreds of friends who turned it into the liveliest and most welcoming hangout in Athens. In 2006 its name was changed into Planet Music, bridging its successful past to a new start, a new philosophy and a larger range of music, aiming at establishing in Athens a fresh kind of entertainment, which was already known in the rest of the world, and at making it the point of reference for new and older bands.“There are only two kinds of music: The good and the bad.” Keeping in mind these words of Duke Ellington, the Planet Music team offers to the Athenian public the best options for live music in the fields of jazz, blues, world music, as well as the modern alternative rock scene. Excellent artists from around the world and from every music sector are invited to the Planet Music’s cosmopolitan and friendly space, to captivate Athens’ music-lovers, and to satisfy the needs of those looking for diversity and quality in entertainment.
