The B Bug were founded in 1990. In a short period of time they earned the reputation of an innovative band, incorporating elements of rhythm & blues, acid jazz, funk and soul, introducing a sound unique to Greece. The B Bug have performed in all of Athens most popular clubs. They have also toured the whole of Greece extensively averaging about 100 live shows a year, making it one of the top funk bands in the country.
Over the years the band collaborated with many noted Greek jazz musicians, namely George Kontrafouris, Takis Paterelis, Takis Barberis, Kia Koleman, Julie Massino and others. Also, they have performed with bluesmen Guitar Shorty, Cookie McGee and Lousiana Red. Other credits include performing as a support group for Mick Taylor & the All-Star Blues Band and New York's "funk master" Milo Z. In April 2006 the band made it's international debute in Jazz Kaar Festival - Estonia and Kaunas Jazz Festival- Lithuania where they had the opportunity to jam with the "jazz master of trumpet" Atruro Sandoval.
The Bug have been featured in various compilation CD's, they have contributed 4 cover songs on the soundtrack of an award-winning Greek film ("Telos Epohis" Best Film 1994-Salonika Festival- CD released by Virgin) and have performed several times on Greek television and once for the French Channel MCM. In April 2006 the band performed with international greek pop star Despina Vandi in a televised concert organized by greeces premier music channel Mad tv. The concert was also broadcasted woldwide by Ant1 tv.
