He begins at a young age to study drums with the drum and percussion player Alberto Biondi.
Subsequently he deepens the jazz studies with the drummer Lorenzo Tucci and with the pianist Luca Mannutza.
Despite the young age (born 10/07/79) he has participated to several stages and seminars: in 1995 (and in 1996 having as teacher Giulio Capiozzo) to the summer musical courses of Lanciano with the New Orleans School directed by Harold Battiste, in the 1996 seminar with Agostino Marangolo.
In July 1999 he attends the Senesi Seminars of jazz music playing with the teachers of the courses (Enrico Rava, Stefano Battaglia, Ettore Fioravanti, Pietro Tonolo, etc.)
Currently he belongs to pianist Enrico Pieranunzi's trio.
During his brief career he has accumulated important experiences with soloists of notable relief, among which: Benny Golson, Bob Mintzer, Wess Anderson, Steve Grossman, Jeremy Pelt, Sonny Fortune, John Hicks, Michael Manring, Miles Griffith, Andy Gravish, Joris Teepe, Shawn Monteiro, Amedeo Tommasi, Rosario Giuliani, Fabrizio Bosso, Stefano Battista, Emanuele Cisi, Xavier Girotto, Joseph Lepore, Pietro Lussu, Pietro Ciancaglini, Carlo Atti, Emanuele Basentini, Antonio Ciacca, Carmelo Tartamella, Max Ionata, Max D’ Avola, Frrancesco Puglisi, Cinzia Tedesco, Ada Montellanico, Francesca Sortino, Niki Nicolai, Amalia Grè, Dario Deidda, Rocco Zifarelli, Pietro Odorici, Gianluca Renzi, Pino Iodice, Giorgio Rosciglione, Cicci Santucci, Dario Rosciglione,Tony Pancella, Bepi D’ Amato, Enzo Scoppa, Andrea Beneventano, Luca Bulgarelli, Maurizio Rolli, Giancarlo Alfani. Besides he has collaborated with theatrical groups with" improvised performances" of theatre and music.
With the Max Ionata quartet he won the first prize at the national contest for Jazz groups Baronissi 2000.
In July 2000 he won a scholarship that has given him the opportunity to study in America, near Columbia College in Chicago under the direction of William†Bill†Russo and in the same year he took part to a Steve Lacy seminar held in Terni.
In December 2000 he records the cd "Zaira" with Max Ionata - Claudio Filippini Quartet for the label Wide Sound.
Currently he is the drummer of the A.M.P. Big Band of Maurizio Rolli, directed by the M° Alfredo Impullitti, with which he records the cd" Moodswings" for the label Wide Sound, with, among the others: Mike Stern, Michael Manring, Maurizio Rolli, Fabrizio Bosso, Achille Succi, Diana Torto, Angelo Canelli, Max Ionata, Claudio Filippini, Gianluca Esposito, Giovanni Imparato, etc.
In August 2002 he won with the Max Ionata Quartet (Luca Mannutza, Marco Loddo, Nicola Angelucci) the “GRAND PRIX DU PUBLIC†at the Trumplin Jazz of Avignon (France), with over 90% of the votes (Prix du Public).
In the same year he records with the above mentioned quartet the record “Little Hand.â€
After one month he goes back to recording studio, this time with the singer Susanna Stivali and with the extraordinary share of the altosaxophonist Rosario Giuliani, to record the record “A Secret Placeâ€.
In December 2003 he records with Stefano Battista (author also of the music), Luca Bulgarelli, Francesco Puglisi, Dario Rosciglione and Claudio Colasazza, the soundtrack of the movie â€ORA E PER SEMPRE†by Vincenzo Verdecchi.
