Hailing from Christchurch, New Zealand; nacoa is a bit of a monkey behind the decks, with his cheeky grin and crazy attitude, the dancefloor is always a great place to be when he’s behind the wheels of steel....
A bit of a music whore, nacoa broke into the Christchurch dance scene with his eclectic Nu Jazz Dub Fusion sound; a mix of dub, downbeat, lounge, trip hop and all things mellow. A sound that has seen him play throughout New Zealand as well as across the ditch in Australia.
Not one to conform to a certain niche, nacoa's profile continues to increase with the addition of breaks to his arsenal of beats. Having the ability to progress a night through a variety of sounds means he has had the opportunity to support artists like Rennie Pilgrem, Meat Katie and Diverted.
nacoa has also been producing under the alias of MonKey TroUble with local DJ Flek C. The Monkeys sound incorporates a variety of influences from dub to electro, hardcore and drum n bass. Their music has had extensive airplay across the Bnet as well featuring on George FM and Christchurch’s Urban Breaks.
We Ain't Holding Back featuring Nelsons Kurnel MC featured on an all Kiwi dance music CD for Performance Car Magazine. And their remix of Minuit's "Room Full of Cute", was recently released digitally on Dollhouse in the UK and can be found on major download sites like Juno and Beatport.

Outside DJing, nacoa studyed Radio at the New Zealand Broadcasting School. While studying nacoa was General Manager for one of NZ's leading nightclubs; Base. He worked there for over 5 years before futhering his career in the media industry by joining the team at Audio Pilot, a production company who specialize in instore audio.
He combines both his love of DJing and Radio weekly on his
