About Me

Born in 1983 in Quedlinburg, Germany. He started playing Saxophon at the age of 14. He was part of the National Jazz Orchestra (Bujazzo). In 2004 he started studying at the “Hochschule für Musik und Theater” in Hamburg and took lessons from Phil Woods, Vincent Herring, John Ruocco, Joakim Milder, Fiete Felsch…Gille won numerous prices and scholarships including the "Yamaha SaxContest's" 2003, Oskar Ritter-Foundation, Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, Dr. E.A.Langner Jazz Price 2007, Jazzförderpreis 2007. Sebastian worked with artists such as Al Jarreau, Abdullah Ibrahim, Maria Schneider, Nils Landgren, Peter Herbolzheimer, Jasper van..t Hof, Gary Husband, Joe Gallardo, Bert Joris, Danny Gottlieb, Herb Geller, Gene Calderazzo, Collin Towns, Vladislav Sendecki, Gustavo Bergalli, Marcio Doctor, Michael Gibbs, Steve Gray, NDR Radio Big Band and many others. He toured to Canada, China, France, Italy, Netherland, Belgium, Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Poland...
