AA Records is Nate Young and Alivia Zivich. We were and still are Aryan Asshole Records.Our records are individually cut on a lathe in real time as the audio plays. The grooves are cut into a flat piece of acrylic, the image is seen through the clear material, seemingly implanted within. In the event that the record skips a unique loop is made. We love a locked groove. The project has evolved into sculpture as objects with both visual and audial content. Every record we cut is one of a kind, its flaws signatures of a thing made by hand. Sometimes our records skip, jump, slide and are filthy. They will always perform great.
We hope each release will be an object that someone will be happy to own, an object they'll hold on to and feel a part of something by owning. We're also illustrating sounds and attempting to satisfy the musicians with whom we're collaborating. We want the object to become a part of their body of work too.
We've put out over 40 releases so far. The list of musicians/artists we've worked with is to the left. We've also been able to use this label as an outlet for our own projects such as Demons, Wolf Eyes, Hatred, Video Madness and AA Magazine.
