My name is Roger Jordan. Playing piano/keyboard instruments and writing my own compositions, is very enjoyable for me. I do not read or write music... so I cannot explain to you; how I do it... I would love to be able to teach people how to "play by ear"... but it would be like telling people to just listen, which is something that most people naturally do. I guess the difference is; being able to calibrate your hearing with a basic understanding of the fundamentals involved with music theory... which most people; if interested, can learn. I take it so much for granted now... which I know I shouldn't... but it's like anything else that you know how to do.The song "Theme from the Sea" I wrote many years ago. Unlike most musicians who compose songs, I haven't written very many. I feel inspired to write more now; at this time in my life... in the same style/genre if you will; as my "Theme from the Sea"... mainly because of the positive feedback I receive from people who have listened to it.
