BLEED THE SKY ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM!
BLEED THE SKY from Orange County, California have set Murder The Dane as title of their second album and have issued the following update: "We have been extremely busy and focused on the progress of the second BLEED THE SKY album.
We finished all the guitars, bass, and drums for the album last week. We are currently working on all the vocal tracks at Christian's (Olde Wolbers, producer and guitar player of FEAR FACTORY) studio.
Everything sounds fucking awesome, and we are stoked for everyone to hear the new material. The album title will be Murder The Dance, featuring 12 tracks, and is slated for a fall release. Also on this album we had a good and long time friend of the band, Jeremy Hall (AUDKIK), come in for guest vocals for a track."

KATAKLYSM NEW ALBUM UPDATE
KATAKLYSM singer Maurizio Iacono has the following studio update:
"I have to take back a few things I said on my previous report, the way the album first started to get put together it seemed to be a lot more dark but in melodic way, but what makes writing so fun is you never know how the end result will be. Yesterday we finished a song called 'Breathe To Dominate' and I could already see the pit going crazy and being a live smash.
Smoothest album we have written in years. I thought In The Arms Of Devastation was a very good experience but this one is more like everyone looking at each other after completing a song… and saying… 'Perfect'.
We worked on another new song this morning, a song called 'The Vultures Are Watching'
The band is really focused. It's the first time in a very long time all four of us are writing an album together in the same room. Feeling good!"

SOILWORK NEW ALBUM ON THE WAY
Elite Swedish Melodic Death experts SOILWORK have finished work for their new (untitled) album which will see the light of day later this year.
"All I can say, it sounds excellent... great sound, great playing and a good mix of songs," says guitarist Ola Frenning on the band's official website.
The vocals of Björn "Speed" Strid were recorded in Vancouver, BC - Canada with the help of Strapping Young Lad mastermind Devin Townsend who already worked together with SOILWORK on thee 2002 release, Natural Born Chaos.
Songtitles set to appear on the album include 'Your Beloved Scapegoat', 'Light Discovering Darkness', 'The Snare Broken' and 'The Pittsburgh Syndrome'.

TAPPING THE VEIN MIXING NEW ALBUM
TAPPING THE VEIN will be mixing their upcoming release for Nuclear Blast with Neil Kernon at RaxTrax in Chicago, IL starting July 14th 2007.
"We're very excited to be working with Neil on this. Time and time again, on tour, we were told we sound much better live. I'd have to agree the band is heavier and more powerful live. I think we were able to capture that this time around with Neil." says drummer Eric Fisher.
"Tapping The Vein took a new approach to the writing of this album and I am really pleased with the result. I think we've managed to streamline and "pump it up", so to speak, without sacrificing any of the emotional impact that we insist on." adds Heather Thompson.

TESTAMENT SIGN TO NUCLEAR BLAST!

Lots of kids who had never heard of us before bought the CD. If today is an indication of how the rest of the tour is going to be, it is going to be one of the best tours to date."
After slaughtering thousands of metal worshiping sunburned fans, IN THIS MOMENT will go on to tour with Megadeth this Fall. Guitarist Chris Howorth says, "We've only met Dave Mustaine once. Megadeth is one of my favorite bands of all time. He was really cool. Being direct support for Megadeth is a dream. It's up there with Ozzfest. We are really excited to be playing. It's a cool feeling. I think Megadeth is an American meat and potatoes rock band with memorable songs... a lot of Megadeth fans will discover us for the first time."
In other news, the "Headbanger's Ball" debut of IN THIS MOMENT's new video for "Beautiful Tragedy" is this Saturday, July 14. Robert Hall directed the groups' second video. Hall, whose special effects company, Almost Human Inc., is responsible for special makeup design in the upcoming feature film "Superbad", has also worked on Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel.

OBITUARY TOUR DATES FINALIZED
Obituary have finalized dates on their upcoming US tour. Support for the shows will be Alabama Thunderpussy, Full Blown Chaos and Hemlock. The tour will be in immediate support of the band's new album, Xecutioner's Return, that is set hit stores nationwide on August 28. Candlelight Records in cooperation with ITunes will release an advance single, the album track "Evil Ways," on July 31. It will be fans' first opportunity to hear the new material.
