Hello. Yeah, I know alot is posted on here. Building this page was my passion for a few months.
The left side of my profile is more personal in nature (including those fun quizzes) while the right side is political. For my own sanity I had to narrow down my focus to Human, Civil and Constitutional rights. So many issues are plaguing this country....
I welcome discussions that expand our minds and spirit. The fires of enlightenment & truth are spreading - let's be part of the solution. Thanks for stopping by! :-)
I do believe MAJOR occurences will be taking place in the next 5-10 yrs. (I am only stating possibilities): Global shift, martial law being declared in the U.S., the depletion of clean food & water supplies, the collapse of our economic & government functions, large loss of populations and/or nuclear war.
I do believe, regardless of political direction this country may take - a global shift will take place. This event alone with alter life on a dramatic scale.
During this time of upheavel - it will be ESSENTIAL to have small communities and friends to pull us through this time. To SURVIVE - we will have to LEARN to work together as a community. It will be about CHOICES: will you choose to live in chaos and fear? or will you learn to work with one another?
AFTER this shift takes place - life as we know it will be COMPLETELY different than where we are now. Following this transition, a UNIVERSAL spiritual awakening will happen - mankind will unite. Remember how people rallied together during 9/11? Now see man collectively coming together on a GLOBAL scale - THAT is what we will achieve.
Don't get pessimistic with what is happening, man is evolving. An awakening is taking place - I see it all around me.

This administration has used fear to control and manipulate the population. Because of our fear of being attacked, we are agreeing to far more egregious violations of our own civil liberties. I really don't think people will be concerned until these violations happen to them - and by then, it may be too late. Wake Up! Things are not getting better.
The Patriot Act: The 1st of two pieces of legislation that passed in this country that disregards constitutional, civil and human rights. Currently in 2007, population sweeps are taking place all over this country and these people are being housed in prisons throughout the U.S. ENTIRE FAMILIES are being held, with no representation - INDEFINITELY.

Is anyone genuinely concerned? Does it bother anyone that it is now LEGAL to arrest a U.S. citizen, classify them as an enemy of the government, hold them INDEFINITELY without any legal counsel, with NO POSSIBILITY of a trial (to prove their innocence) and torture them?

The shade of yellow determines the meaning. Pure, bright and sunny yellow is the easiest color to see. People who are blind to other colors can usually see yellow. Yellow is full of creative and intellectual energy.

Politics: Typically, I vote either Libertarian or Independent. To me, Dennis Kucinich looks like a good choice for the presidential candidate. He's actually pursuing impeachment against Bush. :-O

Life Experiences: I am constantly striving for understanding in this life. I have found that I live my life like the phoenix. The mythical bird which becomes consumed by flames, then rises out of the ashes and evolves to obtain broader vision - trial by fire. :-)

Spirituality: What I am about to say about spirituality/religion is only an opinion. I examine various perspectives and it has helped me see the bigger picture. I am not saying anyone is right or wrong.

ANY belief system that promotes hatred, judgement, violence or division - does not have a TRUE connection to GOD. We are ALL a part of god.
Hate NEVER comes from god - THAT comes from man.

I do not see god as a human figure, but as pure energy - EVERYTHING is made of energy. We ALL have the power of god within us to manifest/create. As Einstein said: Energy does not die, it simply changes form. I think this applies to the soul - even though the body dies, the soul lives on.....

Photography: I was a photography student and loved carrying my 35mm around with me, wherever I went. I found myself drawn to places where people congregated - then just observed and saw the interaction and expressions. THAT is what i love to capture. People. The human face speaks volumes.
There is something so tangible working with a 35mm - having control of the picture from beginning to end. I love the smell of a darkroom and creating a picture from the shot being taken, developing the film, to printing the picture myself. I had aspired to be a photojournalist, but alas, a regular paycheck took priority.
Finally got some of the images scanned. These are on mount boards, so i was unable to lay them completely flat during the scanning:

Bill Maher: He speaks his mind, especially in a country that now stifles free speech. I may not always agree with him, but i respect his ability to ask the hard questions. He is what inspired me to seek stimulating conversations. An exchange of ideas can be a powerful experience. Discussing controversial issues can bring depth to issues - things you may not have considered.
I find him incredibly sexy - his intelligence, outspoken humor, and independent thinking is such a turn on! His good looks don't hurt either! LOL!

I think this is a great video and a perfect example of why I love Bill Maher. This is from Real Time with Bill Maher which airs on HBO. This was made right before the republican convention (2004?) that was held in New York City.
The Final Rule (1:57) is what makes this clip my FAVORITE - this is a laugh out loud Rule! I especially love the particular hand gesture and facial expression he hopes will be displayed during the demonstrations. Enjoy

This is an EXCELLENT movie - V for Vendetta. Definite shadings of what this country is losing everyday. This man was deemed a a threat to a dictatorship government. In this scene, he took over the airwaves. GREAT GREAT SCENE. This movie will get you to think and question. Very intelligent script...
