Things I love:
Physics, Math, Chemistry, music, parkour, outer space, driving fast while listening to loud music (or music loud), watching cartoons, video games, computers, techno toys, the beach, the ocean, good friends, good wine, hills and trees, lightning storms, cloudy skies
Things I do not love:
Stupid things. And please, understand that my use of the word "stupid" is very broad. Although I may on occasion use it to describe a general lack of intelligence, I frequently use it in place of adjectives such as, "annoying," "obstinate," "asinine," "insipid," "boring," "annoying," "superficial," or "frivolous." Thus, this broad category includes dipshits like George W. Bush, airheaded girls, religious fundamentalists, general education classes, business majors, FOX news, but most of all...
people who arrive first to a multiple-way stop and then WAIT for me to make a PAINFULLY COMPLETE stop before cautiously creeping into the intersection, when if they had just GONE when they GOT THERE and NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE, they would have been GONE by the time I got there, and I could have rolled on through. Wow, that pisses me off more than anything.
Suckers who think they can play pool. We can play some. Don't forget your wallet.
People who practice Parkour, especially other women.

Ok, honestly, I only have time to read my textbooks these days. Since I refuse to list my favorite textbooks here and expose myself as a total nerd, I'll just have to go by what I remember enjoying back in the day when I had time for recreational reading.
To start with, the entire Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow series is great. Another incredible book by Orson Scott Card that is much overlooked is Pastwatch. Heinlein's The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, Flowers for Algernon, Dream Dancer by Janet Morris, GEB... and it's been so long I can't remember any others.
My mom, who survived an abusive childhood and the suicides of a parent and a sibling to become the most honest and loving person I know. My dad, whose neverending interest and enthusiasm for knowledge about the world inspires me to try and give a shit.
