Trevor McLachlan Friday 20th of AprilFragile & Cheeky Chicks Present; (( Trevor McLachlan )) Tidy & Extreme Euphoria UKFriday 20th April 2007 @ SpaceSupport DJs: Jared Knapp, Kyle Donegan, Justin Sane, Taz, Tania M, Terry Wizz, RP, Lolli, Miss Random (Welly) + More TBChttp://www.TrevorMcLachlan.com http://www.myspace.com/TrevorMcLachlanJust in case you’ve been throwing your own private party under a rock for the whole of 2006 and don’t yet know who and why Trevor McLachlan's been causing such a storm, we’ll list some of those achievements for you;As a DJ Trevor has always been one of the main contenders in London. For the past 2 years he’s been resident at the hugely popular Twisted parties at Brixton’s infamous Fridge. Demolishing the main room with his trademark sound he’s been an essential part of the Big Smoke’s most dedicated party scene. However 2006 saw him break free of the capital’s circuit and reach out across the UK with debut main room sets at the tidy Weekender 10, Storm and tidy vs Extreme Euphoria at London’s most iconic superclub Heaven. His sets have smashed through the roof wherever he’s played with clubbers falling in love with his hard yet euphoric sound at every single venue he’s hit. February 2007 saw him crown it all of by coming runner up in both the Best Newcomer and the Best Resident DJ categories and the prestigious Hard Dance Awards at the iconic Brixton Academy. Now with gigs confirmed at tidy, Storm, Extreme Euphoria vs tidy, Ibiza, A Night With Wid & Ben as well as gigs abroad in Amsterdam, Australia and New Zealand, headlining in Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne, Trevor is about to hit that exclusive international stratosphere of super DJs.Production-wise, he’s been hitting all the high notes and the right notes. We can tell you till we’re blue in the face that his tunes are good. These figures speak for themselves. Not one, not two, not even three or four but five of Trevor’s tracks went on to become immense number 1 hits on tidydigital.com. No artist in 2006 managed this incredible feat on what is the world’s premier hard house label’s download site, and there are very few that can even contemplate coming close. The huge remix of Adrenaline Department’s Initiate ripped up dancefloors not just around the UK but the world, while his amazing debut track, The Voice on Impact, was played on Dave Pearce’s highly influential Dance Anthem Show on Radio 1. His tracks were snapped up and released on a wide variety of labels including tidy, Impact, Addiction Digital and Tranzlation. Support has come from across the board, just check what is merely a sample down at the bottom! Two stunning new tunes that Trevor has been working on with Brad Thatcher, Imagination and Sequential, have just been signed up as a massive double EP out on Ed Real and BK’s powerful Riot Recordings label, while Feels So Good, Trevor’s new track out on WOT has just been licensed for the Euphonic Sessions Volume 1 compilation mixed by Pierre Pienaar aka P.H.A.T.T. If that wasn’t enough, Compromize will feature on the massive Trancemasters compilation series in Germany which will see Trevor’s track listened to across the whole of Europe and overseas. But why say it ourselves when so many others can say it for us? Here’s just a taster of the praise Trevor’s gained over the past 12 months;"To me Trevor McLachlan epitomizes everything a great DJ should be. Technically he is superb but more importantly for me he knows how to hold a crowd and get the dance floor going which is why Tidy have supported him so much in recent months with him making regular appearances for us at Tidy London and a storming debut at Tidy Weekend 10 in 2006." Lee Haslam - Digital Remedy Label Manager"Trevor McLachlan has been one of the highlights for me this year. He has produced a number of cracking tracks, some of which I was lucky enough to sign to Impact. He has also been impressing crowds all over the country with his mix of hard trance and tuffer beats. The word quality springs to mind when I think of him." Phil Reynolds – Frantic/Innovate/Impact "If there is a new star who is starting to emerge in the hard trance scene it is without doubt Trevor McLachlan. I have watched him over the past year and a half play alongside the crème of the hard dance world and deliver to large main room audiences. With six quality productions and two remixes under his belt this name is not going to go away."What? Cheeky Chicks When? Friday 20th April Where? Space Bar, Osborne Street Who?
