The Silk Traders are simply defined as a dynamic blues based quartet with electrifying rip roaring riffs to stomping and swinging rhythms destined to hypnotise even the non-blues listener with an unrivalled explosive electric charm. Comprising of Michael Kelly Guitar & Vocals, Muz Musleh Bass, Phil Larkin Piano & organ & John Tudor Drums & Percussion of which, all members come from and live in Liverpool. The Silk Traders have been performing at the Northwest's biggest venues for the past 4 years, a majority of which were in Liverpool where they have won much acclaim for their exciting contemporary blues shows. Over recent months the band have introduced organ/piano into their already colossal sound which regulars now regard as "the icing on the cake." I guess it must be mentioned that there's a great deal to be admired from studio recordings but the proof is most definitely in the pudding. Their strength lies within a live stage performance as there is huge improvisational element that grips the audience and makes the band what they are.
