The Silk Traders

About Me

The Silk Traders are simply defined as a dynamic blues based quartet with electrifying rip roaring riffs to stomping and swinging rhythms destined to hypnotise even the non-blues listener with an unrivalled explosive electric charm. Comprising of Michael Kelly Guitar & Vocals, Muz Musleh Bass, Phil Larkin Piano & organ & John Tudor Drums & Percussion of which, all members come from and live in Liverpool. The Silk Traders have been performing at the Northwest's biggest venues for the past 4 years, a majority of which were in Liverpool where they have won much acclaim for their exciting contemporary blues shows. Over recent months the band have introduced organ/piano into their already colossal sound which regulars now regard as "the icing on the cake." I guess it must be mentioned that there's a great deal to be admired from studio recordings but the proof is most definitely in the pudding. Their strength lies within a live stage performance as there is huge improvisational element that grips the audience and makes the band what they are. "An exciting British blues band, the likes of which haven't been heard of for decades."
