Phil is a Swansea born singer songwriter. Phil has previously sung with many bands including thrash metal, rock, blues, soul outfits. Phil's first band was a thrash metal outfit of school friends called 'Asylum' (changing their name to D.A. approx. 10 minutes after Phil got Asylum tattoed on his arm, paid for by the bast...I mean band!). Phil stayed with these for many years, recording original material and gigging for no money. Phil then went on to join 'No Class', a Swansea valley based rock covers band. These disbanded and some remaining members, including Phil, formed a three piece called 'The Switch'. After this Phil joined veteran bluesmeisters 'The Blues Bunch', and then formed a soul band called the 'Phil Rowe's Funky Souls', a seven piece. Phil then 'retired' for a while before regularly depping with 'The Barrow Boys' and soon after stopped playing altogether except the odd gig with a scratch band of friends calling themselves 'The Dodgy Endings'. Phil bought a small studio last year and started recording his own stuff, before being asked to fill a spot one Saturday night and ever since Phil has been singing with Rock/Blues band 'The Journeymen' (Check out live video of The Journeyment on Phil's Videos section. The Journeymen are currently working on material for an album. ALL SONGS LISTED HERE (& MORE) CAN BE DOWNLOADED FREE AT WWW.PHIL-ROWE.COM
