Who Killed Lorne Boulet?

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Our Son Lorne left for a walk on Sunday July 29, 2001 never to return. As our only child he was our world, we did all we could do to locate him. My wife printed posters and mailed them to Homeless Shelters across the country, and we followed up on leads as close a couple of towns away to as far away as clear across the country in California. My wife's loving sister Louise established a web site www.findlorne.faithweb.com, and also helped us to get connected with many missing person organizations around the country. We contacted law enforcement far and near and they used all of their resources but all attempts were unsuccessful. Then came the dreadful day April 14, 2006 (Good Friday) when our son's remains were located along side of Interstate 93 in Concord N.H. by a person hiking his way home through the woods. For 6 weeks we waited for results on the cause of death, It was determined that he had been walking on the highway and struck from behind by a motor vehicle and launched over the guardrail and 30 feet down over the embankment where he lay until he was discovered. We thank God that he died instantly from the impact and did not lay in pain hoping to be discovered. The case at the time of discovery was turned over to the N.H. State Police Criminal Investigations Unit. Now nearing another year later, and with a great deal of help from the media, have exhausted all of their resources and have been unable to locate a driver or vehicle involved in the accident. Find more info at TheWMURchannel.com, TheUnionleader.com, and the Concordmonitor.com We appreciate all everyone in law enforcement and the media have done to try and help locate Lorne, as well as to help keep the story alive until answers are found regarding his death. . Lorne was located beside the south bound lanes of route 93 in Concord N.H. Did someone possibly fall asleep at the wheel and only awake after impact and was unable to see him down over the embankment, possibly thinking they struck an animal then carried on with their travel? Was someone driving intoxicated and knew they hit him and then had their car repaired for cash at an autobody shop? Is someone living with grief knowing that they or the driver of the car they were in has done this and not reported it?We pray that if anyone has any information regarding the accident involving the death of our son Lorne Boulet, on or about the night of Sunday, July 29, 2001, that they would please contact Detective Sonia at the New Hampshire State Police Criminal Investigative Services Division at (603) 271-2663 or (603) 271-3636 connecting all departments. Eight of Lorne's best friends shown carrying him across the cemetary to his final resting place. Mark S., Jay C., Nick D., Jay P., Clark T., Kristian W., Josh O., Trevor G., My son chose his friends well, They are all fine young men. My wife and I love them very much. We could never put into words how much these young men mean to us for being such good friends to Lorne. Lorne would be very proud of them. The Mens Warehouse did an excellent job suiting up 9 of us on a very short notice. (Don't they all look great?!!) Despite the tremendous amount of support from family and friends the day of the funeral service was absolutely the saddest and most difficult day of our lives. The pall bearer's gave us white hankerchiefs to catch our tears, my wife and I followed by the pall bearer's tied a red rose to the handles with these hankerchiefs. Following this all who know and love Lorne laid red roses on the casket. People placing Roses on Lorne's casket Brought to the funeral by dear friends John and Magi Bish, they have been through similar circumstances with their own sweet child Molly Friends and family reminiscing while looking at some of Lorne's cherished belongings during the celebration of Lorne's life. The function was hosted by the Grappone Conference Center adjacent to the Courtyard Marriott in Concord. The staff did a wonderful job. Our thanks to our close friends Steve Duprey (Owner), Pam Patoine (G.M.) and the entire staff! My wife and I with seven of the "boys" at the celebration of Lorne's life following the memorial service,it was difficult to get all 8 together for a photo. These are Lorne's dearest friends Because it would be 8 to 10 weeks before Lorne's permanent headstone would be ready, I proudly crafted this temporary one. The temporary headstone the day we installed it at the cemetary. I could not leave his grave unmarked. The day the permanent headstone was installed we met with all the friends that could make it to view it. The sun was just setting. Perry Brothers Monument Company of Concord did a wonderful job. It is absolutely beautiful and I think Lorne would like it. The Crown Of Thornes with a crucifix in the middle, was Lorne's tattoo that he wore proudly on his right bicep. His cousin Trevor a very talented artistic young man redrew it and we had it carved on the headstone being held up by angels. HotFreeLayouts

I felt I had to build Lorne's casket, one of the saddesst things I have ever had to do. But honored to do it for Lorne and proud I did. With Jesus guiding my hands, and help from my brother to determine the angles I first crafted the cover. Lorne loved Red Oak. Seven of the pall bearers asked to help when they heard I was building the casket six are shown here. Lorne was so loved that we were overwhelmed by requests from his friends to carry our son to his final resting place, but there was only room for 8. Lorne's good friend Jay crafted this beautiful marble crucifix and inlaid it into the cover. Jay also crafted Lorne's initials and inlaid them into a label block, a unique personalization done with love, Jay is very talented. With the help of my wife, the seven pall bearers that were available to help and my brother, we lined the inside of the cover with copies of every photo we could find of his family and friends. At his feet were his two dogs Rufus a Shepherd / Lab mix that he grew up with and Sasha a Rottweiler that waited with us for his return. The satin and lace padded lining and pillow was sewn by my mother, she said this was the hardest thing she has ever had to do, she loves and misses Lorne so much, and installed by her with the help of my brother. Along with with a few other treasured items we sent with Lorne are a photo of my wife and I that Lorne had on his nightstand for near 20 years, and a Crucifix that his good friend Nick prayed to everyday during two tours in Iraq. Nick said how he knew his prayers to that crucifix are what brought him home safely, and now he wanted Lorne to have it so that he too would return home safely. Lorne has such wonderful friends. A view of the completed casket closed. A view of the completed casket open. The casket once it was delivered to the Petit Funeral Home in Pembroke. I never thought I would have to see that day. They handled the service with excellence. "

On Lorne's birthday this year, friends and family gathered at the cemetary. One the one year anniverary of getting the news Evelyn and I put up a cross beside the highway to mark where Lorne lay for 4 years 8 months and 17 days. Evelyn standing on the spot, markers where he layed, and the cross. a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank While this page serves primarily as a way to honor our son Lorne, as well as to keep his story alive in hopes of finding the answers regarding the mysteries of his hit and run death, I also would like to it be a useful tool honoring other missing individuals and memorials of those missing and now past. Another use for this page I feel is important, is to spread the word that we finally have a candidate running for President of the United States that is worth supporting. He stands for the Constitution without falter, and has TRUE AMERICAN VALUES. I believe my son would agree with me if he was here today. Please take the time to check out Ron Paul. Please make the effort to get out and vote. To all of you that call yourselves AMERICAN, be a part of the process. Listen to the candidates, then heart, then GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!! Thank you fellow Americans. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIivoqLbeeg
