About Me

Graham County was formed as a trio in 1969. The original members were Francine Jarry, guitar, vocals, Robbie MacNeill, lead guitar/b/g vocals and Don Graham, bass and vocals. Their first single, the Bill Hill produced "Shelter in The Sky" was recorded at Andre Perry's Studio and was released on Gamma Records in Canada and Kapp/MCA in the U.S. and was a "pick hit" in Cashbox Magazine. Robbie left the band and was replaced by Bill Hill (Jb & the Playboys) on guitar, Eddy Kaye, drums and Ron Dann on steel guitar. This lineup toured extensivley promoting their records and got tight working the bars of Montreal where the long hours resulted in six sets a nights, six nights a week! Through the years members have included, George Bowser( Bowser and Blue), Bobby Cohen, Les Leroux and JayBees drummer Dougie West and Paul Lifsches on bass.In 1975 Don released a single on Amber Records " If You Don't Like it...." b/w "Wrong Right From The Start". In 1980 Don moved to Toronto when he signed a songwriting deal with A&M/ Irving Almo Music.
