One of the top session guitarists and recoding artst for well over 30 years, John Beland's credits (too numerous to cover here) , have landed him in key roles as band leader for acts like Linda Ronstadt, Ricky Nelson, The Bellamy Brothers, Arlo Guthrie and eventually the Flying Burrito Brothers.It was John's direction and songwriting that led the Flying Burrito Brothers to their very first commercial country success, logging up nine hit singles for Curb Records and awards from Billboard and Cashbox Magazine, the first major chart action the band had ever received in all 12 previous years before John took over.Beland was also responsible for legendary rocker Rick Nelson's final hit record, "Dream Lover" and helped with Nelson's comeback in the late 70's.Known worldwide for his Telecaster B-Bender playing, Beland has been a top session guitarist / producer in both Los Angeles, and Nashville, for nearly 35 years, as well as recording throughout Europe, Southeast Asia and mainland China.A few credits include Garth Brooks, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Waylon Jennings, Earl Scruggs, Alison Krauss, Rick Nelson, Linda Ronstadt, Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez, Don Everly, Kim Carnes, The Bellamy Bros, Flying Burrito Bros and many, many more.John is also an ASCAP Award winning writer, as well as a Dove nominated writer.
