What I am most proud of in my life in music: From the early days in the 60's to the present day, my contributions to everything I have been a part of has been positive. Starting from the beginning of the musical journey at the age of 13, my goal was to provide substance and consistency while keeping the focus on the MUSIC, never compromising on the spiritual gift that we are graced with as musicians. What I have today are the memories and the satisfaction of knowing that I never compromised my principles, never abused my gift, and was never cruel or shallow in my dealings with the musicians I met and played with for the past 47 years. Some went on to be doctors, some are still performing artists, some are unfortunately deceased but they all were my brothers and sisters in music, which joined our souls for eternity.
Piano at 6 years old, violin at 7, upright classical bass through high school, electric bass in performing/recording bands with major studio contracts from age 14 to 27. Songwriter with major credits for writing on Mountain 's "Climbing" album, having written the flipside of "Mississipi Queen", "For Yasgur's Farm" as well as "Silverpaper". I enjoy playing loud, hard bass; funky & edgy, yet very melodic. Favor guitar trios having jammed on bass with some all time greats such as Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townsend, Rick Derringer and many more. Oh yeah, some monster drummers as well. The music on my page will be some of the songs written and performed by me in the past 10 years to the present, hopefully entertaining everyone who listens...
