The late, great, John Peel, played the debut 12" single from Tim Taylor - aka Roland From Poland - before he'd got hold of a copy himself. Way back then, (1990) Tim worked with Jon Pink, signing to Warrior Records in London under the name Earth Beat Synphonic. Together, they played clubs & warehouse parties in and around Bristol, joined on occasion by On U Sound's Gary Clail and sharing a bill with the legendary Frankie Knuckles.
In 1991 Tim moved to Poland, taking his small studio (including a Roland Juno 6) to a city near the Baltic Sea. Performing live & DJing at events in Gdansk, Warsaw, Poznan & Koszalin, he recorded three sessions for national radio and was given his own weekly show, eventually leaving for Sweden in 1994 and arriving back in Bristol in 1995.
The debut album as Roland From Poland, 'Baltic Beats', was released .. (Records) of Bristol in 1998, getting airplay on BBC Radio 1 and Virgin Radio. Copies are available from CD Baby and Green Lung Productions.

'Patch Of Paradise' was due for release in 2005, on the 'Don't Touch' label, established by members of 'Alpha' (who were previously signed to Massive Attack's 'Melankolic' label). The release was put back a couple of times and then shelved completely after Alpha were dropped from Melankolic and the original line up split. The album is now available as a download from www.tunetribe.com with tracks on rotation here and on the main site.
