About Me

With expressive vocals and breathtakingly powerful melodies the new release "Undress The Night" from London band ’Ellison’ is destined to make an impact. Having spent 18 months honing their writing skills, the band has achieved an intricate and inspired collection of songs, beautifully layered and polished with incredible power.
Backed up by strong live performances and soaring harmonies, Ellison have stated their intentions clearly. James List (Vocals/Guitar), Ian Smith (Guitar/Vocals), Andy Irvine (Bass), and Stu McLean (Drums/Vocals) have developed a captivating and dynamic style of melody driven delay rock. The songs are a true reflection of the numerous musical influences and individual personalities of those in the group... music for a large variety of tastes.
Having released two independent EP’s under the name ’Platform Six’, the band won numerous accolades in their home country of Australia. Moving to London in early 2006 has presented new challenges to the established group, but one which these rising stars will embrace with enthusiasm.
Of their new release, James List says; "Undress The Night’ came about from the band recording a collection of demo songs that we all thought were too good to be kept to ourselves. The songs have matured incredibly since our last release, and there is a huge amount musically for the listener to absorb. We’re really proud of this release."
