Mino Takwane is Singer, Songwriter and Painter. He was born in Takwane, Mozambique on April 1972, He starts singing for an audience in the Churchchoralgroup in the Sacred Family Church of Quelimane in Mocambique.1989 he went to Germany to Study Art and History, during this time he worked with diferent musicians and Bands such as "far east dub comunity", "ten colors", and many others. At this time he played more than 150 Concerts. 1999 he went back to Mozambique were he founded the "Maroons" - this Band plays Roots Reggae spiced with old Riddims from Mozambique[Line up Mino Takwane-Voc., Toni Chabuca(Bass), Texito Langa(Drums), Arestides(Guit.), Paito(Perc.)] Maroons played in the Musicclubs in the Maputo upcoming music-scene in the years 1999 to 2001. 2003 in South-Germany/Karlsruhe he works in Studio and Concerts with Jazz and Rock Musicians such as Herbie Herb(Guit), Daniel Hermann(Drums), Michael Hermann(Guit), Roger le Blanc(Key), Miriam Kühnel(voc) in a projekt called M.I.N.O. and also with the legendary Bassplayer from Namibia Willie Mbuende and the Mbira Professor Emmanuel Karumazondo fromZimbabwe by the renomarcable Festiva "Situ 6"l in the international Music Academie in Kapfenburg/Germany.
