Myspace LED ScrollerTony George Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Tony was raised in a family that was musically supportive and enjoyed all the talents of the various styles of music. Tony’s father taught him three chords on the guitar early in life, built him a stage in the basement of their house, and took Tony out with him to play gigs several nights a week. By the age of 13, Tony had composed his first song. It would be inevitable that this would be Tony’s passion. It was in his genes, in his blood, and it had no intention of leaving! Over the years, Tony played in several bands and toured the country. Craving the energy of the live crowds, Tony couldn’t get enough. Always focused on his goals, Tony moved to Nashville in 1998 to write professionally within the music industry. With Tony’s most recent recorded compositions including Brooks & Dunn and Collin Raye, his extensive song catalog includes other accomplished cowriters and is extremely impressive to say the least. Tony has now teamed up with lifelong friend David Black to create the dynamic and talented country duo GEORGEBLACK.David Black Born in Birmingham, Alabama, David was born into a loving family with strong values that were instilled as a young child. At the tender age of three, David would search out opportunities to entertain family and friends at any get-together that David was attending. David began entering and winning local talent contests with his winning performances of Michael Jackson hits. David was gaining local attention. In August 1990, David was invited to a closed audition. David gave an outstanding performance and was signed immediately to a record contract with a major label. In the blink of an eye, David was the opening act for M.C. Hammer on a world tour. Wanting to get back to his southern roots and his love for country music, David left California and came home to Alabama.
