About Me

Sabine Pellarin, a singer since childhood, began her vocal training in the classical tradition. However, after a two-month stay in New York at the age of 20, she immediately switched to jazz - a natural fit for her bright, soulful voice - and never looked back.Fortunate enough to study in the US and Switzerland with jazz singers such as Sheila Jordan, Jill Seifers, Gretchen Parlato, Christiane Legrand and Sandy Patton, as well as instrumentalists Rich Perry, Ray Gallon and Thierry Lang, she gained from these teachers a deeper, richer knowledge of music and improvisation. All the while, she was learning her jazz basics by attending the Montreux Jazz Conservatory in Switzerland, eventually performing with her peers at the Montreux Jazz Festival. In recent years, she has been the leader and co-leader of different jazz projects and has performed mainly in Europe and in New York.
