Expect super-fun music to be pumpin' during a Pompsicle session. No Van Morrison or Celine Dion. We always do our best to spin awesome music that helps set the mood and tone of our model's look. If we're drawing a goth girl: Bauhaus, Bjork, Tones on Tail. If we're drawing a trail-blazin' cowboy: Sons of the Pioneers, Bob Wills, etc.
Watch movies later. Let's Draw.
Drawing People by Barbara Bradley
This book is a great resource, especially for intermediate and advanced figure drawing. Sadly most "how to draw" books only go over the steps to recreate the drawings that are in the book. Barbara Bradley emphasizes making your own observations and creating your own drawings from them (pushing the pose, editing, etc.). If you’re not sure where to start when it comes to drawing the clothed figure; if those masses of folds and creases look infinitely complex and beyond understanding, I recommend buying this book.
