About Me

Our goal is to establish a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the life and work of Modesto native George Lucas, including the city’s historical connection to the film *American Graffiti*. We will collect, preserve, and exhibit artifacts from local car culture, film and television memorabilia, and the cinematic innovations of Modesto’s most famous son. Through events, programs, and fantastic exhibits, the museum will seek to commemorate our area's unique place in film history and the cultural legacy of George Lucas. Our group is currently affiliated with the Stanislaus Community Foundation, a 501c3 organization headquartered in Modesto, California, as Fund 227.
