Rockin' till the sun goes down

About Me

I am owner and president of record label Gearhead Records and the boutique shop Gearhead Records and Stuff. I started going to punk shows in 1982 and have been involved with music in some way ever since. I was a DJ for KBVR in Corvallis, OR from 1986-1990 and was music director 1987-1988. I met and interviewed then up and coming bands like The Flaming Lips, Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden, R.E.M.. X, and many more. I moved to San Francisco and was manager of Reckless Records on legendary Haight St.for 4 years and continued to DJ and write for Maximum Rock n' Roll Magazine.I was a sales person for a punk distribution company for almost 7 years, and in 2000 Gearhead Records was born. Today I work non-stop on my label and clothing line, regularly go to shows, occasionally DJ when the right gig comes along, write reviews and interviews when the mood strikes me and am constantly keeping my ears open for the next kick-ass band.
