Im a bass player (dont hold that against me),who plays around the traps of Australia.Atm Im re working some old material i wrote in 1998 to 2001 , and doin a few gigs freelancing , i have a few band projects and have spent 2006 writing and updating my sound and gear .One of the hardest things i have done in the last few years has been taking my bass and learning it as its own instrument . That is , as a solo instrument , and capturing its own soul . Growth for me, but a needed journey never the less . My gear consisits of a David Eden World Tour 800A amp,a Eden WT 1250 ,two d410 xsts, two d410xlt cabs, a Digitech Studio 400 signal processor ,a Diditech control 8, a Zoom 1204 processor ,a Digitech Jamman, a Digitech talker, a Hell BaBe wah pedal ,a BOD - Line 6 Bass pod XTlive an axon 100 mk ii ,korg tritron, a Roland PMA 5, a wireless sytem ,a load of other rack effects and Alto 8 channel mixer for my basses . The basses i play are an Mtd 535 ,an Alembic Rogue 4, a Golini unpaired 8 string , an NS Cr5 upright stick , a custom made 4 string fretless and a custom made 4 string fretted bass ,and a 4 string acoustic bass guitar .I use Thomastik , DRs or D'Addario strings. When i pratice , i use a Pandoras bax, Px4b! I do have other instruments but they arent basses hehehe !I started playing piano when i was seven years old until i was eleven .Then when i was fourteen i decided i wanted to play bass , my first, i owned was a Magnum p-bass copy . I havent looked back since then, and now im pretty happy with my choice . At sixteen i was playing in a counrty rock band called The Regulators. i have since played in countless bands with different genres of music , trying to keep playing and learning styles to enhance my playing .I enjoy my solo stuff , to me its me ! Hard to bluff or play like someone else when your 'naked' musically .Its the make or break for a player when they are alone onstage without the bass player to blame !I have had many requests to put some of my solo stuff up ,so in the next few weeks ,i will add a myspacemusic page and leave the link here for you - all that want to celebrate my music with me !
