For 4 ½ years I was bass player & lead vocalist for The Moxie Blues Band, a dynamic blues rock trio based in Santa Clarita, California USA. They played a choice collection of older and newer blues covers in a style all their own, along with some powerful originals. The band reached greater heights than first envisioned. They opened for blues greats Robben Ford, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, Joe Bonamassa, among others. I’ve been very fortunate to do something with music that I merely wondered about when younger. My only regret has been waiting until the age of 51 to start getting serious about singing, playing bass and songwriting. No matter, Mikey is rockin' now! For those who don't know, blowinblue's real name is Michael Moxley. Sadly, as of 3/18/09, The Moxie Blues Band has dissolved. I've taken this as an opportunity to start my own band.
