Jamal has been into music since he was 12 years old growing up on the streets of Grand Rapids Michigan, He linked up with His band mates the "HeatHolders" in '98 and its been uphill since then. The passion that he holds for his music is unlimited. Jamal started recording with his childhood friend Rodney Trotter in his grandmothers basement just for the love of the art. Since then and many years later he has performed many shows, and recorded many songs. Childhood friend and fellow group member P. Stone has also been a major influence in his production and urge to take it one step higher at all times. The majority of the production is handled by HeatHolders own Saukar "fat" Mullins, who also is a major influence. Jamal has been a part of the HeatHolders for the reason that its just a love for hip-hop. Nothing else. His upbringing in the back streets of the "Gun-Ru" developed the skills he's acquired to continue a respected M.C., threw many many freestyle battles to intense a stage performance . Jamal has played around with his own production on a few of his tracks and has developed his own sound. His midwest style is very Michigan orientated. The way of his flow to the depth of his rhymes. Speaking of the rhyme, his lyrics touch everything from politics to the simple pain of heart break to the common street life thats always ever so present in the hip hop world today. His respect for all true underground Rappers feeds his hunger to strive to be the best in this field.
