"i got my first tape ever when i was about 5 or 6. it was rundmc's raisin hell."........................a brief history of lodoublet................................In the winter of 2004 lodoublet (ell-oh-double-tea) released his first full length hip hop album "MURDER BEATS". It featured another mc named "mak 1o", a back up singer/femcee foxxy 40, a $200 guitar, a $75 drum machine, an $80 keyboard, and a note book full of angry scribblings. Produced and recorded with help from his friend Derick Rice from the pop group "THE STARRS" .....It was kinda dumb, kinda krunkish, but it sounded great ....500 copies were pressed and sold just as quick as they were recorded...(about 4 months)...Then lodoublet headed straight into some serious old-fashion-sample-slamming..... Through hosting a string of hiphop events, such as hip hop mondays at "(mike's) Ravens Ultra Lounge" (r.i.p.) he started getting a decent size following in his local punk rock/hip hop/metal scene and recorded the "MIDWEST BREEDERS MIXTAPE" released in 2006, trading verses with various "mc's" he met along the way... all beats, recording, mixing, and production by lodoublet...200 copies were pressed and handed out at the many shows lodoublet hosted and performed at... The next release was an ep of sorts called "THE PUMPKIN ISLAND ep" in 2007. It was a recreation of an lodoublet live set....Plus a couple of old favorites and some new unreleased songs....200 copies were handed out/sold/stolen....90 or so with a dvd titled "THE ROBOT FILES", three home movies put together by lodoublet himself....This ep has since been re released with the addition of good friend/bomb dj/band member MUDDY PUDDLES...Re recorded and re mastered (kinda).....Since then lodoublet and muddy puddles have been playing tons of shows and recording the upcoming album called "hoedown at the robot farm" it will be released oct 31st 2008 to scare up the scene. boo!lodoublet and muddy puddles jamming
